Good day everyone!
We hope you’re all doing fine this beginning of November and that you’ve checked all the clocks in your home for accuracy’s sake. The subtle changes are sometimes the hardest to get used to, but we’ll all be fine together!
ICYMI, earlier today we shared our October roundup post. Many thanks to Jack for helping keep things tidy and on track around the OWLS home! There you’ll find all the posts that went up from our OWLS members during the month of October where we discussed “Fantasy”. But just like how Christmas was quietly lying in wait to push Halloween back into the storage room, it’s time to switch gears to November’s theme.
November “Failure” (Requested by Lita)
One of the best ways we can learn is through failure. This month we will be talking about the failures of our favorite characters in pop culture media and what we can learn from them. We will also reflect on our own mistakes and failures and how those experiences have allowed us to grow as human beings.
Examples:
Pokemon
Naruto

Like always,

I immediately went to Beck and Kenichi, which are both shows that deal with people struggling to succeed.
Then again, there are shows that just seemingly end in failure, like Gilgamesh or Saikano. (Yes those are deep cuts, and not that great.)
I look forward to seeing everyone’s posts.

I love Saikano!! I want to rewatch it but don’t know where (if it’s anywhere). I think that’s totally an appropriate show for this tour, the others I haven’t watched but I’ve heard good things about
